In addition to my Nathan's Picks series for Dead and Company tour highlights, this year I'm debuting Phish Sticks, summarizing recent Phish tours. Volume 1 highlights some of my favorite tunes from this years Summer Tour, and I've included a special Volume 1.5 edition with songs from the stellar Merriweather Post Pavilion performances on June 22nd and 23rd. I'm still very much an amateur Phish listener (2019 will mark my 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Phish shows), so it was a lot of fun listening to the summer tour and putting these together. I clearly really enjoyed all of the performances I've included here, but I would not be surprised if the Reddit army would label a number of them as pedestrian :)
As is tradition with Nathan's Picks, each volume fits on an 80 minute CD - so this is certainly not even close to being a comprehensive compilation of what was an awesome tour. In addition, the ordering of tracks is completely chronological, so apologies in advance for any weird setlist ordering. Definitely go listen to the full shows!
